*In a meeting with two photo editors (Moira and Rebecca), you will take part in
an energetic and highly productive discussion of your portfolio and how it can be
improved to lead to greater response and more work. Our goal is that every photographer
we meet with leaves with dozens of ideas for improving their portfolio, website, and promos.
Some of these improvements, such as more effective and interesting layouts and which photos
to open and close your portfolio with can be realized immediately. We will also discuss long term
portfolio goals, such as what might be missing from your book and photo "assignments" you can
give yourself to create work that makes your book feel more complete.
We encourage photographers to bring in thumbnail sized printouts of the work that is currently
in their portfolio and/or on their website, as well as thumbnails or contact sheets of other work
that might be added. We'll look at all of this together, while discussing your goals for your book.
We'll play around with new pairings until we figure out what works.
